Creating a single player chess board that responds to an opponent's move using a hidden electromagnet, 2D gantry, and computer vision. Worked with a team of 4 other students.

Designing and fabricating a box inspired by an arch in Washington. Made from hardwood, this box was an exercise in practicing different uses of fasteners and wood joints. 

Crafting a unique play experience for fourth graders at a nearby school inspired by the behavior of a honey bee pollinating flowers to teach the students in a hands-on way during the pandemic. 

Sketching, modeling, and fabricating a "hopper" mechanism inspired by a grasshopper or katydid. After setting the trigger, this fiberboard hopper can jump two to three feet in the air.
